Dina from Peak Business Ltd wanted a new website to launch her new business.  She already had 2 websites which I had been working on but this one was designed to be the master site.  The site for which the other sites are satellites. Dina is a specialist in using Digital Media to grow sales in businesses, so this site needed to walk the walk and do the business.

Dina went through her competitors websites and also those of clients which she liked.  From this we had a good idea of look and feel, and also found Jupiter, a premium theme to use.  Jupiter has so many options and facilities built in to it that takes a little while to get around and to decide which features are best employed for the different elements of a website.  Dina looked after all the content and the SEO for the site and I looked after the functionality and the design.

An initial issue was that Dina’s host’s web servers were not up to the job.  A new account with 1and1 was used for the hosting and all Dina’s sited were migrated over to the new web space which gave us greater capacity, control and, incidentally, presented a huge saving.

The site is just under 80 pages with some 500 different elements including various post types.  The pages are packed with useful content and have a common look. The home page follows the design of a single page site as an introduction using a series of screens.

The end result is a fully responsive website configured to meet Googles “Mobile Friendly” criteria which has loads more potential for development.

The website

Once the website was live Dina used it to showcase good design at her seminars.

Again what started as a fairly simple brief, morphed and grew to become more and more complex.

Dina then took over complete control of the content and left me to look after backups, maintenance and security.
