When Jeff posted on social media that he was after a new website I responded that I may be able to help. We met up in a cafe in Chamonix and got some background as to what he was after and what he had already. Then we set to work.
He is a High Mountain Guide with heaps of experience and offering 6 core activities. Each activity then had different elements which would appeal to different people based on skill level and experience. The challenge was to let the site user find and access the information which is most relevant to them and present Jeff as the “must have” expert to deliver.
Jeff is fantastic on social media and has a huge library of images to satisfy his various sponsors so that was amazing to play with. Another consideration for the site was to make it easy for Jeff to add content and edit different pages. He would prefer to spend his time playing in the mountains than in front of a screen learning.
Elementor is great for this as you have the ability to see the impact you are having visually as you edit, and it has the functionality to make a page super interesting based on the user experience.
The landing page has a slider at the top with some of Jeff’s amazing images. Then there is a list of the basic 6 activities with icons. Each of these link through to a separate page detailing options, ideas and suggestions.
Then there is Jeff’s credentials and the footer links through to his social media pages.
All the pages and images from his old website are mapped to the new one so that he retains all the organic search engine optimisation .
