The commune of Couflens in the French Pyrenees has 3 gites they run for visitors. They were marketed on different websites but had never had a site of their own. The commune decided that there was benefit to having their own website to attract visitors to the area.
All manner of nationalities use the gites and mainly they speak German, French English or Dutch. The area attracts groups, families and individuals who generally do activities in the outdoors. It was decided to create a single page site to show each of the 3 gites and offer ideas as to that the valley has to offer for visitors. This page is then presented in each of the most popular languages with a simple contact form at the bottom.
Elementor is a brilliant and user friendly page builder which makes customising responsive websites comparatively easy. So this site for example has some columns reversed, icons and text changed for different screen sizes.
The site has information on the 3 Gites; whats included, how many they sleep, costs, etc. Ther’s also a section on eight different activities which attract people to the area.
One of the first actions once the site was live was to get it registered on Google Business.
The website had an immediate impact on enquiries and reservations.
